Returns & Refunds Policy

This Returns & Refunds Policy applies to all products and services provided by MDR Home Improvements.
1. All Sales Are Final
All sales made through our website, over the phone, or in person are final. We do not offer refunds, exchanges, or returns for change-of-mind purchases.
Please ensure that you select the correct products before completing your purchase.
2. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in this policy limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
You are entitled to a replacement or refund if a product has a major failure, including if it:
- Is unsafe
- Is significantly different from the description
- Does not perform as advertised
- Has a manufacturing defect
You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to meet acceptable quality standards.
3. No Change-of-Mind Returns
We do not accept returns or provide refunds for:
- Incorrectly ordered items
- Compatibility issues
- Change of mind
- Incorrect installation
- Failure to seek professional advice before purchase
4. Installation Responsibility
Customers are responsible for ensuring that products are suitable for their intended use and installed correctly.
We are not responsible for damage caused by incorrect installation, misuse, or modification.
5. Warranty and Installation Requirements
Garage door openers, springs, and related components must be installed by a qualified installer.
No warranty applies to products that have been installed by unqualified persons, installed incorrectly, modified, or tampered with.
Any damage or failure resulting from improper installation is not covered by warranty.
6. Faulty or Damaged Goods
If you receive a faulty or damaged product, you must notify us within 7 days of delivery.
Please contact us at sales@mdrhomeimprovements.com.au with your order number and supporting photos.
We will assess the issue and, where required by law, arrange a replacement, repair, or refund.
7. Third-Party Suppliers
Some products are supplied by third-party manufacturers. Manufacturer warranties may apply.
Assessment of faults may require inspection by the supplier.
8. Shipping and Return Costs
Where a return is approved under Australian Consumer Law, we will cover reasonable return shipping costs.
All other shipping costs are non-refundable.
9. Restocking and Administration Fees
Where a refund is approved and unavoidable, we reserve the right to charge a restocking and administration fee of $66 to cover processing, handling, and supplier restocking costs.
This fee will be deducted from any approved refund.
10. Service Refunds
Refunds for service work are assessed on a case-by-case basis and subject to inspection.
Completed services are non-refundable unless required by law.
11. Abuse of Policy
We reserve the right to refuse refunds where this policy is abused.
